Dr. Perry Kyles is an African American historian from Houston, TX. He acquired his doctorate in History from Florida International University in 2007. His areas of research and interest include the African Diaspora, Ancient Egypt, and Economic History.

He has led countless tours, including tours to Egypt and Ghana. According to Dr. Kyles, the classroom is only the first step in understanding history. The next step is field research, which adds a deeper spatial and contextual understanding.

Dr. Kyles has published widely and officiated the publication of several peer-reviewed works. The major theme of his work is liberating African Diaspora History from institutionalized misinformation regarding the global African experience.
