The Ka Statue of King Tutankhamun
Discovered in the entrance corridor of Tutankhamun’s tomb, the Ka statue is one of the most striking treasures of the young pharaoh. Standing tall with lifelike black skin. The statue represents the “Ka” – the spiritual double of the king that lived on after death.
Carved with powerful features, wearing the royal nemes headdress, and holding a ceremonial staff and mace, the statue was more than an artwork – it was a guardian, ensuring Tutankhamun’s soul could pass safely into the afterlife.
